Illustrators

We are always looking for freelance illustrators. We are particularly interested in all styles of children’s picture book illustration, and illustrators that have the versatility to undertake different design briefs on other products. If you are interested, please send copies of your work to Kareena Lockrey at the above address. Do not send any original work and, sorry, but we cannot guarantee a reply.

Manuscripts

We will consider unsolicited junior fiction manuscripts, but we are mainly looking for children’s picture book ideas. Please read our guidelines following. We will only accept manuscripts in hard copy, we will not accept manuscripts on disk.

We are looking for original and exciting stories that are aimed at entertaining children and fostering a love of reading and books. Books should be highly readable and interesting. We are looking for titles with memorable characters and with fresh, original ideas. We are interested in stories that will appeal to the mass market, not specialised, niche market titles. Excitement, humour, adventure and books that will appeal to both boys and girls are all important criteria.
